Here’s Some Aurora, because I got nothing
You read that title right. I currently have nothing to say, and nothing to bitch about at the moment. I’m working on a couple interviews right now, I’m getting ready to leave for Puerto Rico in a week (and trying to arrange some work while there), oh and I’ve also completely re-arranged/routed my South America plans for the the upcoming RTW trip.
Last Wednesday, January 20th I woke up with the intent to go exercise before work. January 20th isn’t a day that I like, not only because it’s a crappy time of year, but also it’s the day my Grandma passed away in the aftermath of her oncologist’s negligent treatment. That plan to exercise was immediately thwarted by a giant electric green streak that exploded across the sky as I pulled off of my street and onto the main road. I whipped around at the next street, drove back home and grabbed my camera.
As I scrambled upstairs to get my backpack I was racing through my head where I should go as I didn’t have all night like I normally would had I planned for this. Then the location for stop #1 came to mind.
Northfork, Eagle River
So I stood out here for about an hour taking photo after photo.
And then the clouds started to roll in, so it was time to move.
Skyline
Next I drove up Skyline drive (overlooking Eagle River, if you’re not from around here).
Much better.
Then they started to flare up over Mt. Baldy.
Before long it was time to go to work, so I had to call it a day… or a morning, whatever.
